Originally from Huddersfield, Caine arrived in Leeds due to university commitments; coincidentally this is when his musical career was destined to start although totally unaware at the time. Heavily influenced by the Leeds sound, it wasn’t until a certain night started to host parties at the Leeds Corn Exchange that Caine finally knew what he had to do. Little did he know that he would be a DJ there two years later himself. The Corn Exchange had always been a main focal point in the city of Leeds. It was originally built to house the massive corn trade back in 1860 and the building is one of only two in the City centre with a Grade 1 listing. The exchange has had a lucrative history within Leeds over the years and has held such club events such as D DAY / SOAK / SEXED / UP YER RONSON / ARK and more recently JOY. JOY, at the time, was a harder edged revival house night, influenced by the early to mid-nineties club nights around the north west of England. Caine knew he had finally found something to relate to and had to somehow become a part of it. It was the energetic crowd and tough underground driving beats that set the night out from the rest. It was with a chance meeting whilst at a friend’s record store he finally got to meet the promoters and the rest as they say is history. Now Caine can be found spinning a unique blend of early House and underground Techno around the clubs of North West England.
